On the 22nd May 2007 the Government announced a delay in the implementation of Home Information Packs until the 1st August 2007. At the same time they withdrew the Home Information Pack Regulations to enable changes to be made including:
* From 1st August Home
Information Packs, including energy performance certificates will be required
for four bedroomed houses and larger ( there is no further definition )
* Until the end of the year marketing can commence as soon as a pack is
commissioned
* Energy Performance Certificates can be up to 12 months old when the property
is put up for sale
* Councils and registered Landlords will be encouraged to introduce EPC's
on a voluntary basis
