Our Criminal Law team embraces solicitor advocates, experienced trial lawyers, accredited Police Station Representatives and highly trained caseworkers who can assist with all aspects of criminal law.

The highly professional and vibrant staff within our department can help people accused with all crimes varying from motoring offences in the Magistrates' Court to the most serious criminal offences in the Crown Court.

Members of our team are trained to deal with all clients in a sympathetic and confidential manner. They are also well aware that being charged with even a minor offence can be distressing, both as an experience and because of the consequences. Our aim is to vigorously defend your rights from the start and then continue to help you obtain the best possible outcome.

We believe that everyone accused of a crime has the right to a strong, committed defence and we operate a 24-hour emergency service 365 days a year, to ensure that our clients are properly represented in police custody and receive the proper advice and explanation of the law .

If you are being questioned at a police station in connection with any crime, you should ask for a legal representative to be contacted on your behalf. This service is free to everyone and is not means tested. Asking for William Hicks & Partners Solicitors by name will ensure that a specialist solicitor or Accredited Police Station Representatives will promptly speak to you before attending the police station to assist you in any interview.

If you are charged with an offence we can advise you further and arrange for your representation at the Magistrates' Court, Crown Court or any appeal.William Hicks & Partners
