London eCommerce Solicitors

Ecommerce Solicitors London - Kaltons Solicitors

Ecommerce involves a broad range of legal disciplines which is hardly surprising since, on one level, the Internet is just another medium for doing business. However, it represents an exciting, innovative medium that creates new possibilities for working relationships and doing business in ways that were simply not possible before.

Kaltons has been actively involved in ecommerce since 1997 and we have seen the market mature beyond the heady days of the “dotcom gold rush”.

We have advised a broad range of organisations of many aspects of ecommerce and Internet law: from major corporations to rapid-growth start ups; from web designers to Internet trade associations; from Internet service providers to providers of high-level Internet support software.

We support and facilitate e-business development in many ways under the laws of England and Wales as well as New York , Australia , Cyprus and the Turks & Caicos Islands.

Adlex Solicitors

Many of our client operate high profile brands on internet and constantly have to deal with third parties infringing their intellectual property and other rights.

Examples include misuse of clients' trade marks in metatext to attract search engines, bidding on trade marks in Google, registration of domain names which include or misspell their trade marks (see domain name disputes) and breach of copyright in the source code, appearance or content of their websites.

We have procedures in place to deal with such infringements rapidly and efficiently.

Preserving evidence and unmasking infringers are important parts of the procedure. We use a range of measures designed to make life difficult from infringers including action to remove website hosting / Paypal facilities.

Amongst other things, we file complaints with Google in order to secure bans on persons bidding on client trademarks or using trademarks in their ads.
