Inhaling asbestos dust can cause both benign and malignant diseases of the lungs and pleura (the lining around the lungs) many years later. The diseases caused by asbestos can be broadly categorised as follows: * Asbestosis : fibrosis
of the lungs caused by asbestos. This condition rarely develops less than
twenty years after the start of exposure to asbestos, and is often found
after longer intervals. The typical features include increasing breathlessness
and later cough. Mesothelioma Solicitors london

Coombs, Solicitor I was a partner with John Pickering & Partners between 1984 and 2005. Most of my work was for clients with mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis, diffuse pleural thickening, and pleural plaques. During my time with John Pickering & Partners, I won or settled hundreds of mesothelioma cases. I have never lost a mesothelioma case. I led the team of solicitors in 2002 that preserved entitlement to compensation of most mesothelioma victims in a test case decided by the Law Lords. I was one of the lead solicitors in the only asbestos disease group action brought in this country, on behalf of South African asbestos miners, including many mesothelioma victims, that ended successfully in 2003. I completed many mesothelioma cases successfully within 6 months of being instructed by my client. I did this by getting the cases into court quickly. In 2005 I set up my own firm to work for mesothelioma victims. I offer a unique service by specialising in cases for mesothelioma victims, and by taking on only a limited number of cases at any one time, in order to complete the cases quickly. I will see clients suffering from mesothelioma anywhere in the country at their own homes within a short time if I think there is a case to pursue. I aim to complete cases for clients who are suffering from mesothelioma within 4 to 9 months of being instructed. Most of my clients live in England, but I represent clients with mesothelioma who were exposed to asbestos in England, but later emigrated to Australia and New Zealand, South Africa, The United States and Canada.
